The leaves are just starting to fall and change color and with that means cooler temperatures, Fall fashion and of course Fall kids activities! There are so many things to do with the kids this Fall all within city limits! Several we can’t wait to try as they are fun for both the kids and adults!
Right around the corner is Lincoln Square’s Apple Fest. We went last year at the tail end and we definitely missed out! They of course have amazing apples by the bunch, but they all sell oodles of other things like delicious cider, pies, cookies, candy and more all from local vendors. There is also a kids zone where the activities continue throughout the day. I think I remember a magician and a puppet show last year. Really a fun spot to take a crisp walk to next weekend!
Check it out 9/22/12 from 8am – 5pm On Lincoln between Leland and Lawrence.
I can’t believe Halloween is only a month and a half away, but ready or not here it comes! A friend of mind was telling me about this amazing Fest that was new to me, but we can’t wait to hit this one up this year!
Gethsemane (the yellow garden/nursery in Andersonville) has an annual Halloween Fest featuring amazing activities for the kids. Pony rides, music, face painting, a petting zoo and more. I’ve heard its FREE too, however don’t be surprised if they want a small donation of $5 or something…hey it’s worth it to have the animals for the kids in the city!
Definitely don’t miss this one: Gethsemane Gardens: 10/29/12 from 11am-4pm – 5739 N. Clark
The annual Circus in the Parks Midnight Circus has begun! This is a typical Big Top Circus with acrobats, aerialists, clowns, contortionists and animals!
