Taste of Chicago
This year, the Taste of Chicago is once again taking place in September instead of its traditional first weekend in July. The annual festival will showcase a variety of vendors and food trucks, along with live music performances. Similar to last year, a series of one-day festivals will be held throughout the summer in Rogers Park, Pullman Park, and Marquette Park, leading up to the main three-day event in Grant Park.
90s/2000s Night at the Lincoln Park Zoo
After dark, Lincoln Park Zoo turns up the excitement with a 90s and 2000s-themed, adults-only night. Featuring cash bars, food, and DJs, the event offers a unique way to experience the zoo. You can dance on the Main Mall, belt out karaoke at Foreman Pavilion, play lawn games, enjoy live band performances, or snap fun photos in booths—all while exploring the zoo and checking out the animals. There’s no shortage of activities to enjoy in this lively, no-kids-allowed evening.
Block Club Chicago Block Party
Block Club Chicago is hosting a block party at the McCormick YMCA (1834 N. Lawndale Ave.), featuring food, games, kids’ activities, and plenty of live entertainment. Attendees can enjoy performances by Meg and the Wheelers, Así Así, The O’My’s, and more. Special guests include Chicago urban historian Shermann “Dilla” Thomas and Frank “Gator” Robb, known for capturing Chance the Snapper. Local vendors such as Ivy Hall, One Tail at a Time, and Buffalo Exchange will be showcasing their products, while nearby restaurants serve up tasty bites. Admission is free.
Big Bounce America
The Big Bounce America tour is bringing two weekends of family-friendly fun to Skokie Sports Park! Kids and adults alike can jump, slide, and bounce through seven gigantic inflatable attractions, including the 24,000-square-foot World’s Largest Bounce House, a 900-foot-long obstacle course, a deep sea foam party, and more. With sessions for all ages and special adults-only times, everyone can join in the excitement!
Enjoy Chicago!
