Chalk Howard Street

Chicago’s only chalk art festival turns Howard Street into a beautiful, chalk-covered masterpiece in just one day. Just east of the Howard Red Line stop between Paulina and Ashland, you’ll find stunning 3D chalk designs created by internationally acclaimed artists. Enjoy food from local vendors or get creative by purchasing a 4×4 sidewalk square for $25—chalk is provided, so you can join in the fun.
