Chicago Water Lantern Fest

Humboldt Park will be illuminated with thousands of floating paper lanterns during the Chicago Water Lantern Festival, which features live music, food trucks, and a photogenic spectacle on the West Side. Each ticket includes a floating lantern kit that you can decorate with a marker before releasing it into the water. Don’t worry, organizers will retrieve all the lanterns after the event.

Burger Festival

It’s no secret that we love burgers, so you can imagine our excitement for Roscoe Village’s annual celebration of succulent beef patties. Get ready to loosen your belt and savor grilled creations from local restaurants while enjoying live music and ample libations. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite—the most popular burger of the weekend will receive the visitors’ choice award.

Tacos and Tamales Festival

This three-day food festival in Pilsen draws inspiration from the Tianguis, a traditional Mexican and Central American bazaar. Guests can enjoy a variety of tacos and tamales from top Mexican restaurants in the city, such as La Cebollita, Prime Tacos, and Yvolina’s Tamales, showcasing culinary techniques from across Latin America. In addition to savoring delicious food, attendees can explore vendor stalls, admire art installations, relax in the Modelo beer garden with a cold drink, and dance to live Latin music.
